Is it ok if my cat lays on a heating pad most of the day?

What about it?

This seems like a stupid question. Sorry. When I work from home, I have a heated foot mat because I’m in my basement and it’s a bit chilly. Mostly though, my cat lays on it - for hours and hours. He loves it but is it ok for him to lay on a heated surface all day? If I’m not downstairs, he’ll just go lay in a patch of sun all day anyway, which I feel is pretty typical cat behaviour. This sweet boy’s follow-up Echocardiogram today came back NORMAL!

What about it?

Ryan was diagnosed with a heart murmur last August at 16 weeks old. We followed up at 6 months old and it was still there, so we scheduled an Echo for Jan 2023, which showed the murmur on one side. Cardiologist did a follow-up today so they could see if it progressed, and his heart came back normal!!! SO relieved, no follow-up needed outside of his regular annual check-up!

My sweet lil baby named Applesauce is being such a trooper even though she’s miserable in her cone. We’re in the home stretch of healing and I’m gonna give her a spa day when she can finally be free of it!
