Where I work has their grand opening today so I thought I would make a pie for my coworkers.

Liquids except for alcohol for lustre dust?

What liquids can be used for lustre dust to stick? I want to try to make it stick to chocolate but what I'm seeing on the internet is just alcohol, and the aim is to get the effect similar to the golden chocolate/pearls in the image ^ The cake needs to be PG for school purposes.

I found this recipe (from Tamasin Day Lewis) but nobody I've asked has heard of this pie, and I'm in Canada. What other name might it go by ? Am definitely going to make it for Canada Day !!
