How often do such close games happen around 1200-1250+? Here it was all about creating and pushing that passed pawn, is that atypical? Yeah, I missed that bishop X-ray, and I did an inaccuracy which could have cost me my pawn, but overall that was an 86 vs 77 accuracy game at around 1150 elo each

Lots of puzzles and more doing for tactics work. I sort of lost time focusing on memorizing a couple black and white openings instead of really understanding the "why" and now I'm redirecting to focusing on the ideas and tactics behind them.

If I push the pawn.. Wouldn't the queen take it, I take the queen and the bishop takes my queen? Instead, I won a pawn.. Isn't that better than losing a pawn?
