Gonna get flamed for this but I’m curious

What about it?

I’m sure several of y’all have very strong opinions on Bombtech clubs but for a fairly shitty player like myself who has a patchwork set of irons would they do the job? I have 25ish(?) year old Triumph irons from my dad, but the 5i got a bent shaft last year and the 6i and 8i both had the head snap off on a clean hit from the glue being dried and cracked so I have a 3,4,7,9 with random brand Goodwill finds for my 5,6,GW,SW, and PW. My set is such a hodgepodge that I’m willing to look for other brands but I don’t have the type of money to find a set of Callaway or Taylormade yet

Fellas, ladies…how are we handling this situation?

What about it?

I’d like to hear what everyone’s instant reaction would be to paying $65 for a round and walking up to this green. First of all, maybe I’m just white trash, but $65 gets you a round at a pretty decent place around here. So this blows my mind. But maybe green fees are a lot higher in other parts of the country and I’m just lucky and ignorant. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Hot and humid round at Cyprian Keyes in Boylston, MA today

What about it?

Found a range finder laying in the 9th tee box. I’ve been saving up to buy one and even though the pro shop was closed on my way out I fought the urge and hunted down a cart attendant to get it put in the lost and found.

Some team shot a -26, 45 in the charity scramble I played today so I bought a new driver in the silent auction.

1986 Open Championship. I wonder if Sam Randolph still has that Taco Bell staff bag?

What about it?

I love looking at photos from the ‘80s and seeing all the staff bags guys were rocking back then.

PSA to those with bad hooks/slices

What about it?

If your driving range has two sides like mine does, or has a parking lot on the side, don’t hit from the side where your ball can hit cars. Wait for an open bay where you’re more comfortable hitting a fence than a car. White line in the pic is a ball trajectory, red spot is my parked car. Black lines are fences to keep the ball in the range/separate from each side of the range. Chrome finish above the driver’s window is now dented because someone hit it with a ball at the range. 4th time my car has been damaged in two years of ownership, 3 of which were hit and runs while it was parked, all different spots.

Good buy??

What about it?

I just bought this second hand set on market place for $230z Didn’t really do much research. I think they are from 2013 but they have hardly been used. How did I do?

Unlike most things, my dad is actually proud of me for this one! First time breaking 80

What about it?

What a wild ride of a round. I’ll never stop chasing this high, really started to feel it around hole 16
