iOS system location services
What about it?
I find it quite hard to understand all of the different location services by iOS itself, even when googling and looking around. Eg significant locations, whilst it’s very clear researching it tracks location and saves locally, there’s little to no mention of the detriment of disabling eg optimized battery charging breaks, home apple home automation abilities, commuter route morning traffic alerting etc.
I’m in the UK, and apple in their wisdom reworded various parts of iOS so it’s misaligned to US models. Eg a mast is a “cellular tower†in the UK, abbreviated to a cell tower. Of course we know this. What does apple do, renames it to “mobile network search.â€
So now I’m googling everywhere the wrong term and can’t find what it does, for the life of me. This is generally how all of the iOS feels lol. Damn it just give us the standard wording.
Anyone aware of one place that explains all system location services?
