Any tips to get out of my head when I’m about to shoot a great score?

What about it?

For context I’m sitting at a 14 hcp right now. I’m trying to break 80 this year. I’ve had two rounds in the last couple weeks where I shoot great on the front 9 and as soon as I start the back 9 I fall apart because I know I’m playing great! I will say I played extremely rushed to finish the round before dark. Played the back 9 in 50 minutes flat and could barely see the ball on 18 so that could definitely be a factor but I get even worse when I have to deal with slow play. What do you do to stay in the groove?

Best PAR 3 score by far

What about it?

Lately I have been sucking at PAR 3 when I play 18 hole courses. Decided to try this nice PAR 3 course and shot my best. Hoping to do the same

Golf…

What about it?

Went to play a course I’ve never played before. Was hitting the ball so good. Putting was bad. On hole 16 green I realize that I’m bogey free and GIRs 16/16. Started to think a bit too much ahead. Hole 17. 146 meters, downhill, playing 140, pin is dead center of the green. 8 iron. Absolutely horrendous pull draw to the long stuff. My friend finds my ball. Skulled it over the green. Was a bit upset because did not achieve 18 GIRs and most likely will not score bogey free. Chipped in for par. Laughed and thanked golf gods. To the 18th we go. With shaking hands I hit a hook towards the water hazard. Ball hits the red marker and bounces back to the fairway. Thanked golf gods once again. Layed up with 6 iron to a nice wedge distance. Nice easy 54 from 86 meters to the green. Birdie putt from 4 meters. Little bit downhill. Was a bit too agressive and rammed it by the hole about 1,5 meters. Par putt. Brutal 180 lip out. Nice.
