Why should I have gone back to Ne3+?

I went from Ne3+ to Nc2+ to taking the rook at Nxa1, but the engine says going back to Ne3+ and then doing it again puts me in a better position. Why is that? Is there any reason I should have gone back?

There is a brilliant move available for white in this position. Can you spot it?

I got this position in a game today and by sheer luck managed to play a brilliant move thanks to a mouse slip. Let me know if you can spot the brilliant move I accidentally played!

Why is this fork a mistake?

Review says that this move is a mistake. Yes, I clicked show moves and I still don’t understand. When I click show moves after Nc2+, white plays Kd1, followed by black playing Be7, and then Kxc2. In game, my opponent played Ke2 and I played Nxa1 and went on to win. My question is, in this show moves situation, why not just take the Rook? Why does Black have to play Be7? From what I can see there is no eminent attack on the king.

Why can’t pawn take here?

I’m around 700 elo on chess.com and I was toying around with a position I saw on an Instagram reel. I got to a check with the black bishop on e5 and I don’t understand why chess.com says it’s an illegal move to take with the white pawn on f6.

Kinda embarrassed cause I didn’t even see checkmate here, just felt like Kg4 was the best move

Anyone else checkmate people accidentally? I feel like it’s not something to aspire to lol

Can someone explain to me why saving the queen is an inaccuracy? (its a puzzle and I'm REALLY confused.)

[Puzzle] How does this move lose 3 points?

I feel kinda bad

Friendly reminder that even if a game is a complete lost cause, you will learn more from playing then resigning. Who knows, maybe you'll even get lucky.
