So in Fia's ending, she claims that by using her mending rune (not the same thing as the rune of death?), that death will once again be a part of the Elden Ring, ridding the world of immortality. She does this in service to Those Who Live in Death, who she acts as a representative of sorts. She does this because Those Who Live in Death did not ask to be cursed, their bodies living without a soul due to Godwyn's deathroot stopping their souls from returning to the Erdtree in order to be immortal in body AND soul. Instead, they are immortal in body alone while their souls are trapped on the way to the Erdtree, whose roots have been corrupted. My question is this: Is Fia's ultimate goal to mercy kill all of these undead creatures by restoring death to the world? So that both body and soul can be at peace without the soul having to worry about being recycled over and over through the Erdtree? So that all can die a true death, not only the soulless undead? Secondly, if this is the case, then why does she refer to Godwyn being granted new life as the "Prince of Death"? I am so confused!!!
