Saw this bastard in the mountains of Pennsylvania. I saw a similar one in my hometown not in the mountains. It looks like a big mosquito but slightly more evil? Anybody recognize this guy?

Cleaning my dogs food/water bowls today and these weird little guys were wriggling around in the overflow.

I usually clean this out once or twice a month. This time it’s been a little longer for various good reasons. What are these creepy little guys?
