What kind of spider is this? Poisonous?

This big thing is outside under our shed awning. If it isn't poisonous I'd love to keep it around because our shed has hornet nests. Any help is appreciated, sorry for the bad angle. Location is Helena Montana. Size is roughly a fifty cent piece.

At first I thought it was a clump of cut grass but then it moved. I'm thinking it's a slug of sorts? Also, sorry the photo isn't better I'm too much of a wimp to get closer.. I'm in North Carolina

What beetle is this?

Hey all I found what looks like a beetle of sorts in my shirt. I felt what I thought was lint or I’m not sure what in my shirt. lifted to take a closer look and it was this crawling I’m not sure if it bites but I think it was under there all days. Can anyone please identify this beetle??? Or at least I hope it is. I live in queens.
