I found this object at Goodwill today. The bowl felt like glass and the other part was wooden. It was between 3-4ft tall and about two feet diagonally.

What is this bath rod for? Is it a handicap assistance? Or a bath feature that I don’t know about?

Been living here for a while, never quite understand the function of this bar, low on the inside of the bath. Was hoping someone here had a clue?
