Is the Bristol area dog friendly?

I'll be relocating to the UK (yay!) through the company I've been working for (nearly 5 years) in November and while first I'll be living with friends for probably half a year, I'd later like to rent a place for myself. Naturally, I'm bringing my furry best friend with me. He is a 3.5 year old welsh springer spaniel (mid sized dog) and he is very well behaved. How hard will it be to rent a place for us? I've been looking at Bradford-on-Avon, Chippenham, and Gloucester mainly - I'd like to live more or less close to Bristol, where the office is, but in a smaller town with a historical feel and beautiful countryside. I'm also paying the pet tax by inserting a pic of Mishka. Any advice is helpful!

This is so British to me, I've only ever seen this toaster warming thing in hotels where there are British tourists. And at this hotel there are 2 of them! Is this a British thing?
