Appropriate for semi-formal/cocktail wedding? Virginia in October, “chic barn” venue.

Was gifted this dress from a friend and looking for an occasion to wear! Friend noted she wore it to a wedding, but not sure what the dress code was. Would this work? How would you accessorize? Or keep looking?
