What is this cut in half bee?

Spotted in Cincinnati, OH. What is this bug that looks sort of like a bee cut in half? Kept flying into the window, presumably for the light.

Found this bug in the hotel of my bed (here is how the squished bug looks)

It was black and either jumping or flying (not sure) and I squished it and was full of red blood
