How do you clean brushed nickel door handles?
I’ve tried two different approaches to cleaning these types of handles.
The first method is just rubbing alcohol. Isopropyl wipes that come in a disposable package. During covid, this was my preferred method as these handles see regular use throughout the day by everyone in my household.
However, I’ve been getting worried that perhaps the alcohol is too harsh on the brushed metal.
So my second method is dipping a paper towel in a dish soap + warm water mix, wringing it out until damp, then wiping the door handle. Less abrasive, but takes a few more minutes than just pulling out an alcohol wipe.
For those that have these types of door latches, what is your preferred technique?
Please help!!! Stain on metal legs of table!
I was cleaning my table today when I noticed the legs had these strange stains on them. I’ve tried vinegar, soap, and hydrogen peroxide and nothing seems to work. It doesn’t feel like rust or anything, it’s just a part of the metal that was not there before. Does anyone know what this could be?
Need help deodorizing silicone cookware
Hi everyone, I need help deodorizing my Crock Pot liners. I wanted to be able to divide the cooker in half and cook rice and beans at the same time. The only dividers I could find were made of silicone. I washed the silicone but it still had a weird smell, kind of like rancid tea, so the first time I used them it absolutely destroyed my food and I had to throw away a whole meal of lentils and rice because of the nasty tasted that transferred. So, last night I soaked the silicone inserts in water and baking soda, but to no avail. I watched really long podcast ( https://youtu.be/jCgzb5y4i0c?si=neDhppUfYfV6V_hZ ), also to no avail, but I finally found an article by the New York Times that said you can bake out the smell. So I tried that as well and now I kind of have a headache because it stunk up the house but the liners still smell like hazardous waste. What else can I try?

A better way to clean tile floors?
I have ceramic or porcelain tile floors Im not really sure, I usually clean it with a basic solution of some bleach, water and fabuloso and after it dries i go over it again with some water with fabuloso.
I’m not really sure why it always ends up kind of sticky and Im not a huge fan of that feeling, plus it is a footprint magnet.
Is there a better way to do this?
Bathroom sink stains?
This discoloration and specks are driving me crazy. The more prominent color comes from what I believe was my leaky faucet. We have very hard water around here. Besides that, I've tried bleach, bar keepers friend, and just a lot of elbow grease. The sink itself is made of some kind of plastic. I'm a little worried whatever external seal it has has worn down and has made these stains permanent. Is there a way I can make it less visible?
What's the best way to clean these couch cushions?

Remove the covers and wash in the washing machine? Spot clean? What do yall recommend?
