Dust collector trips circuit breaker
Excuse the mess. So I got an electrician to install a 120V/20A dedicated circuit for a Shopfox w1867 dust collector and it keeps tripping on startup. The motor will start for about 2 seconds and then the circuit breaker will trip. The manual says the a 20a dedicated circuit should be fine. The manual also mentions that I should have it connected to a dust collection system otherwise if there is insufficient air resistance then the motor will pull more amps. I have it connected to a 20 foot 4†flexible hose and connected that to my planer. The other feed has a dust cap. The circuit breaker is tripping, not the fuse in the motor. Not sure how I should continue troubleshooting.
