I’m Ready
I’ve read The Hobbit and the trilogy in the past but that was a while ago, maybe 15-20 years at this point. I love the movies and have started sharing them with my daughter and will share them with my son when he’s not a literal baby.
I’ve decided that I want to go much deeper into the lore this time around, so I got the 4 I’ve read, plus these additional 10 and I’m still planning on getting Beren and Lúthien, The Fall of Gondolin, and Vol. 6-12 of The History of Middle Earth, but this should hold me over for a little bit at least.
If anyone who has consumed all of the Middle Earth literature has a “best practice†order for reading everything then that would be awesome too. Obviously I can just go with the main source material and then just dive into everything else but if there’s an order than can really enrich the experience then I would love that as well.
