Buddy of mine sent me this pic

He works at Country Club of Billerica. This was in the lost and found. Anybody care to take responsibility...

Just received my new irons, wedges, and putter!

After a 15 year hiatus in golfing, I’m finally getting back into the sport and really enjoying it! It helps tremendously when you have close friends to play with. I invested in a new set to replace my starter set I purchased years ago. Went to the range today and love these super game improvement irons. Getting lessons this week to improve my swing! 2023 Callaway Big Bertha 5-PW,AW 52 & 56 CB Wedges Odyssey White Hot OG Seven Putter Still using my old driver and hybrids and will invest in upgrading those next year. I can’t wait to get out, play, and improve!

How to react to an angry person you almost hit.

I'm a newer player. I just started this year, but played about 40 rounds. I'm not super terrible, but 1 of 5 driver swings something goes amiss and I'll hit a big slice. Generally I can hit pretty long and relatively straight, but I still chunk irons more than I should. I was playing a local mini last week that's a par 60. The holes are pretty close together which is annoying. On a par 4 hole I took out the driver even through I probably should've hit a 3H or 5H. There's just not that many opportunities to use the driver on that course so I took it. Bad slice happened. Of course my group yelled FORE. I hit a provisional 3W much straighter and we went ahead to play our second shots. After my second shot, I walked along the right to see if I could locate my first ball around where I thought it landed. There was a 4some on another tee asking if I had hit an errant tee shot. I said yeah. Then I got a "well it almost hit us when we were putting on a green". I apologized and said we had loudly yelled but couldn't really see where it landed or if there was anyone there. They were clearly still angry and wanted to discuss this further but I just turned and walked away. Like, it clearly was an accident and I get people getting upset almost getting hit but what else am I supposed to do at that point? I clearly didn't mean to do that and I wasn't wreckless. I'd feel awful if I had hit someone. It went a long ways and I don't know how far voices can travel or if anyone putting would listen. The photo is of the course and where the shot traveled and the green where the ball landed. With the trees, there's no line of sight to the right. Courses always seem packed so other than trying to get better and play at less busy times, I'm not sure how else I could've handled it.
