Outdoor shutters

I was asked to make some shutters for a client. Just wondering what type of wood would be best since they will be outside in New England weather

How would I cure this?

Hello everyone, I obtained this slice of southern live oak yesterday from our job site with the intention of making it into a small table. I was wondering how I would cure it or dry it properly to minimize the cracking and splitting. It’s nearly 4ft wide at the largest section, and 7 inches thick at the thickest part. And yes, all permits and permissions were obtained before it was professionally cut down. Thanks in advance.

Is there a way I could band these together to run through a thickness planer?

Accidentally used indoor wood stain on outdoor wood trim and I believe that is why it's starting to turn white. What is the best way to remove the stain and restain?

Game board staining advice

First time working with wood. The board has many flaws but I am happy with it so far as a start. I am wondering I want to stain the top red and make the holes for marbles to fit in stained dark brown or black. Is this a possibility? How would I go about doing something like that?

Our house was built around 1910, and we'd like to refinish the stairwell. Are there any good products, that are hopefully not very messy, that we could used to take the finish line off?
