Any suggestions for my closet?

Recently moved, and continuously trying to improve my space and use it all. I have a dresser in the closet but don’t think it’s the best use of space cause I can’t hang much or get into all the drawers really. I’m thinking of finding something vertical to put on the wall where more clothes are rn (right side of pic) as a start to be able to use the closet? Would love suggestions or thoughts, and trying to not spend too much money with developments. (Pup tax🐶)

ADVICE: About to move into a new place with a long hallway (~35ft). Have a dog. Are runners the only answer?

I’m thinking runners to let my dog run around freely but I’m afraid it’ll look a bit tacky/stuffy. Any advice on what sorts of scheme? Any advice on how to best decorate the bare walls would be appreciated as well! TIA.
