Someone please save me..

We had our powder room retiled and I’m concerned with how close they placed the tiles to the toilet flange. I already expected the toilet flange to be too low, due to the new tile, so I bought a toilet flange extender kit and a jumbo wax ring for the new toilet installation. After they completed the tile work I noticed they covered some of the flange (where the hardware is), with whatever toilet adhesive stuff they use, so now I fear I can’t get the existing flange out to add the extender. The flange is about 3/4” below the top of the tile. Someone please tell me I’m not screwed. Will my original plan work?

How to prevent well pressure switch from sticking?

Image is not mine, just for reference. At least twice a week, the little thing circled in green gets STUCK to the thing circled in orange. And I mean STUCK—tapping the cover with screwdriver doesn’t fix it. I instead shut off the breaker, and then manually knock green off of orange before restoring power. I only notice because it prevents the switch from engaging and I lose all my water pressure. No visible corrosion/damage to either of them. Switch is under a year old but has been doing this for two months. I live in hot & humid north Florida if that matters.

How to remove fork from kitchen sink?

While cleaning out my sink today, I noticed fork somehow got through the kitchen sink drain and is lodged in there. Any easy way to get it out without disassembling the entire sink?

Whirlpool dishwasher won’t turn on or drain

Does anybody know how to hard reset a whirlpool quiet partner 2 dishwasher? I left it unplugged for 10 minutes and I’ve held down the Air Dry for 5-10 seconds. I opened it while it was running to add a cup and now it won’t turn back on or drain.

Foul odor coming from toilet tank

Recently noticed a strange smell coming from my bathroom, figured out that it’s most likely coming from the toilet tank. Does the inside look abnormal at all? Not sure if it’s mold or something else. Smells almost like rotten vegetables.

Opinion on bill

Looking for opinions on this bill. I have been disputing since December because they still have not provided camera footage and the quote I was given over the phone was 1/2 of this with a 30 day warranty. The drain stayed clear for 3 days then I had another company come out for $900 and clear the line again. Have not had an issue since. I don’t mind paying if it’s legitimate but I feel like they are running a scam.

Why is there a hole in my 3" PVC s and d elbow

I bought a pop up emitter. I think this elbow came with it. It has a hole, which I didn't expect, so my first attempt at installing it resulted in a big leak. It's labeled NDS 3po2. The NDS web site wasn't helpful. I replaced it with the same size but without the hole. Any ideas?

Had washer and dryer installed and having issues.

I had a washer and dryer installed today and it was done correctly. They ran a quick test to make sure the washer was working correctly. Now all of a sudden the toilet water in the bowl is low in all of the toilets and the drains for in the shower are draining really slow. I have limited plumbing knowledge and have no intention of tackling this myself but looking for insight on what might have happened. Also this is a new construction home and was built this year and just finished being built end of August.

Sigh

I work for a large contractor. We got called out to finish a job that was started by another (normally) reputable company. This is for an apartment complex. The maintenance manager started noticing stuff like this. The main line into the building was leaking under the slab, and he was under the impression they were going to fix that in the bid. Not only did they not have any intention of solving their biggest problem, they littered the walls with these kinds of goodies. Random sharkbites to old cpvc where they claimed it would be too hard to repipe it. They even used sharkbite couplings to connect the brand new pex upon occasion. I can definitely see why they got the boot. Thanks for the business, I guess.
