The opening hour with Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced had me checking how much time was left before anything felt worth it. Switching characters to line up the next job just repeated the same setup steps without much change.

What pulled me through was one stretch where I switched during a highway chase after a property meeting, trying to keep the timing right so the pursuit didn't reset. That kept me going for about twenty minutes, mostly adjusting routes and watching the distance markers.

Even so the slower parts still feel off. You spend too long crossing the map with nothing happening, and the refined controls only help once the action actually starts.

I sat down meaning to run just a couple rooms in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and somehow it was already two in the morning. One narrow corridor full of those floating heads kept me pinned against the wall while my tears kept missing the ones behind me.

Every time I cleared a floor I told myself that was it, but the next door just opened and I went through it anyway. My thumbs started cramping halfway through the boss and I still didn’t stop.

Now the room is dark except for the monitor and I can feel how dry my eyes are. Should’ve logged off hours ago.

A friend nagged me into trying it even though I figured idle stuff like this would just sit there doing nothing. Loaded up [WoG] War of Genesis: Idle Loot anyway and sent my party into another round of fights against those same creatures.

Left the thing running while I stepped away for a bit and came back to fresh loot and a couple levels higher. Felt like the game was moving without me.

Still ends up lonely as hell though, just watching numbers climb with no one else around to trade tips or laugh about the dumb armor drops.
