Probably Stolen - Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim

DFace review of Probably Stolen - Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim. Filed under Indie, RPG, Simulation, Strategy. Editor rating 8/10.

Players run a cramped storefront on a decaying orbital station, buying, crafting, and selling items whose origins range from questionable to outright illegal. Each day they negotiate with smugglers, patch together jury-rigged goods, and decide which faction requests to honor while dodging rent hikes and security sweeps. The goal is to scrape together enough credits to purchase the shop outright before the next automated eviction notice arrives.

Every item carries hidden tags for faction approval, black-market value, and traceability; assembling a batch of “lightly used” cybernetics might please the local mercs but spike the station’s security level, forcing players to weigh profit against the next patrol sweep. The interface is a cramped, pixel-dense screen of overlapping manifests, flickering holographic price tags, and hastily scrawled IOUs, all underscored by a low-bitrate soundtrack of static-laced lounge jazz that periodically cuts out when the power grid dips.

Picked up Probably Stolen - Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim thinking it would be a quick half-hour and ended up glued to the screen until the station lights dimmed. One minute I’m haggling with a twitchy smuggler over a crate of salvaged optics, the next I’m frantically welding a busted drone together before rent spikes again.

The combat that does show up feels tacked on. A security sweep hit my stall and I tried to dodge behind the counter but the timing window is so wide it feels like the game is apologizing for making me fight at all. I’d rather just bribe the patrol and keep stocking shelves.

Still, the pressure of juggling shady deals and barely scraping enough for the next payment is tighter than most “open-world” stuff I’ve touched lately.
