JBL Speaker Explosion/Burn

What about it?

Saw a similar positing on here after a search. Making a new post since I’m still a Reddit newb. Some advice on what recourse I have available. Couple of weeks ago, I heard a loud bang, some smoke and a fire. Shortly after the strong odor of an electrical burn/fire ensued. Called my residential maintenance folks and the fire department. Collectively none of use could locate the source. The next day I realized my JBL was stuck to the carpet and had apparently burnt a hole after the explosion. Reached out to JBL and they have offered me a new replacement. The question remains will they pay this copay to replace the carpet - although I haven’t brought that up to them yet?

i turned around and drove back to see if there was anything i could do to help him but the poor thing was already gone. luckily none of the other cars squished him before i could grab him. i brought him to my local cemetery and on the outskirts of the forest i laid him down and placed a couple flowers next to him. sorry if the image upsets anybody. i dont want this lil guy to be forgotten
