Want to add a utility sink

I want to add a utility sink in the laundry room here but not necessarily fully built in. Removable would actually be good. Trying to keep it simple and it's a utility closet so doesn't need to look fancy. Just one of those free-standing plastic ones. Questions: 1) Can I use Y adapters on the hot and cold washer feeds for the faucet or should those be added as separate connections? 2) Can I add a sanitary T to the stand pipe drain for the sink drain? Also thinking I'd use one of those plastic access panel covers and run the drain through it instead of trying to repair the drywall after cutting a big enough hole to add the T. That would also make it easier to cap that T if I ever removed the sink.

Can this be auger'd?

Upstairs bathtub/shower stopped draining today. Built 1980, bought 8 years ago, never had an issue. Upon inspection and removing the drain, I noticed it immediately 90s off and after trying to stick about a foot of auger into it, realized it bent again. Looked at it from below in the downstairs drop ceiling and I'm not sure this is ideal. Drain to 90 elbow into T...I assume vent...down 6 inches for U trap to 90-horizontal run for 18 inches to 90-elbow still horizontal to the big pipe (I assume sewer out). Seems like a crap ton of bends and I couldn't get my auger to go past the T after the initial elbow...can pros do it? Am I better off using Hair Disolver to clear up?. I was able to pull some hair out, and it now drains but still a bit slow.

Adding a bathroom in basement. Thoughts on east line layout?

Before I start tearing up concrete, would like some opinions and thoughts on layout. Also, best way to vent the toilet and sink? Will and AAV work? Drawing is mostly to scale, each square is 6” In Wisconsin btw.

What makes this happen?

And also, what is it? Bacteria, mold? Is the public water source contaminated? Am I gross?

Retrofit Sink for Coffee Bar

I have an awkward corner next to a staircase that I want to install cabinets on and make into a coffee bar. I will be moving that outlet up and swapping to a GFCI if I get water there. Right behind this wall is a toilet in the downstairs powder room and the PEX there runs cold water upstairs to a shower and tees to the toilet. The drain pipe there is for the shower and an upstairs toilet, my gut feeling is that I can't use that drain pipe for reasons I don't understand fully. The questions I have: 1. Can I just tee this water line with a PEX tee 2. How can I support the water stub-out in a retrofit like this and what products should I use to do the tee/stub-out 3. Can I use the drain line and should I saddle or use a Y 4. How can I support the drain pipe (if applicable) 5. Is a p-trap kit good enough (if applicable)

Hot water valve doesn’t shut off all the way unless I also shut off cold water

So I tried shutting off the hot water valve and water was spraying everywhere. I turned it as much as I could. I figured maybe I turned it the wrong way, so I turned it counter clock wise and the pressure was even stronger. So I turned it back clockwise, water still shooting everywhere. I then decided to shut off the cold water valve and then it just stopped. This is under the sink btw.

Tub replacement: how do I get access to the plumbing below?

There is a bedroom behind it but it’s on the same level so I don’t think I’ll get low enough. This is either directly above the corner in the kitchen or in the wall space between the kitchen and garage. Do I just start cutting into the ceiling in the corner and hope it’s close enough? Put in the new tub plumbing and test it all then close it with drywall/plaster/paint?

Hot water recirculating pump fail?

So I have a Grundflos UP 10-16 PM recirculating hot water pump and system that has worked well for 7 years. But no more. Hot water in the shower stopped. I switched the Grundflos off ‘Adapt’ to 100% and thought it was working but only for a few minutes then cold water I switched it to temperature control and same thing. So I am not sure how to trouble shoot this. A new pump is $408 and a week away. Any ideas?
