Low FPS but nothing is being utilized in MSFS

I recently downloaded MSFS but have found that when flying in high detail places like New York my FPS drops to about 30. I find it interesting how nothing is being fully utilized and yet the FPS stays so low. I'm playing at 1080p ULTRA. RTX 3060 R7 3700x 32GB 3200mhz RAM Lexar nm790 1tb SSD

Nesting jaguar cone? It doesn't sit flat but the shallow disc with the jaguar (leopard?) carving nests neatly into the top of the cone. No context or provenance available... I'm stumped!

Found solid metal silver cylinder on living room floor? About 2-2.5 inches long, and 3/4 inch wide. Has a pretty solid weight to it. no markings or engravings. can only assume my cat broke something or pulled it out of somewhere.
