iPhone 13 post-processing can get it realllllyyy wrong
I posted this on a recent thread and it got some attention so I figured I’d make a proper post about it.
This is a photo I took on my iPhone 13 a month ago. It’s an example of Apple’s post-processing getting it _really_ wrong. It’s repeatable too so not just a one off.
My theory is that the light source + mirror + human in one photo really confuse it.
More so than other manufacturers, apple tend to identify people and faces in photos and attempt to heavily modify the lighting on them. Marques Brownlee made a very nice video on this.
And for about 2 seconds before Apple’s post-processing kicked in, it looked normal. Just a bit dark. Afterwards it looks like a shitty greenscreen effect.
Apple’s post-processing really can be quite bad.
iPhone messages taking up 50GB space even after deleted ??
I noticed that my iMessages are taking up nearly 50 GB of space on my iPhone. I have gone through and deleted the vast majority of my messages and pictures, but it does not appear to be clearing up any storage space on my phone.
For example, it also shows that, photos are taking up 27 GB of space in the message section, but when I click the photo section where it shows 27 GB of space, the photos that pop up in there don’t even account for even one gigabyte of storage space.
So I am unsure why it says photos take up 27GB space de and messages take up 24?
Anyone have experience with this or have any ideas?
My iPhone 14 pro camera seems scratched
It was straight out of the box, the scratch is just at the center of the lens, and it can only be seen if you shine a torch on it and on certain angle, it is "disappeared" if i clean it with cleaning wipe, but when my finger smudged on the lens, the line is back. I think it doesn't affect picture quality taken, but my OCD is burning me, and Apple won't cover it because it is considered as cosmetic. Can you share your experience on facing this?
Help from an iPhone Wiz!!!!
I collect Basketball Cards and I am selling a bunch of them so I have been taking pictures with an app (specifically for sports cards - called NextGem…you will see it on the top of my apps in the pic)then sending them to photos to edit them and then transferring them to my DropBox on my laptop so I can get them labeled and placed correctly.
I have been deleting every picture that I take and then deleting my deleted pics. Now every time I try to take another picture it tells me my phone storage is full and that I can’t take any more pictures until I free up space. I got on YouTube last night and watched a few videos on how to clear up all kinds of space from different areas. I did everything and cleared out so much stuff but it doesn’t seem like it’s made a difference.
Here is a pic of my storage, please help me figure out what to do. I’m lost…I’ve done everything I can think of.
