Tried The Outlast Trials after work and my focus was shot from the start. One small distraction I set up near the vents got ignored completely and the whole patrol turned on me without any warning.

Died right before the extraction door because the timing on a single noise cue was off and there was no recovery. That one felt cheap rather than hard.

The game keeps demanding perfect coordination on every run but punishes any slip like it's intentional. Not in the mood to grind that kind of frustration again tonight.

I started a handful of runs while already half asleep, mostly just nudging the ride height and spring rates to watch how the front end settled into each corner. Nothing dramatic, just repeated short drives across the same stretch of map.

A light scrape against a barrier caught my attention more than the planned heavy impacts did. One fender bent inward on the inside edge and stayed that way, and that detail lingered after I quit.

After about twenty minutes the pattern settles into waiting for the car to stop moving, checking the new dents, then going back to the menu to change one variable before trying again. BeamNG.drive shows the damage clearly enough, but the pacing leaves too much empty space between those moments.

Almost dropped it after the first hour. The early parts just drag with nothing but slow setups and no real pressure.

Then that one section with the oversized tools hit different. Both characters had to chain the jumps and counters in sync or get flattened by the falling wrenches. Every time I died it was because I mistimed my own input, not some random spike or glitch.

It Takes Two actually respects that kind of back and forth once the fights start. Still wish the checkpoints were tighter though.

I went back into Forza Horizon 6 after setting it down and noticed the side roads actually connect up better than the map made it seem. One stretch I spent the first twenty minutes just following a narrow pass through the hills, stopping once to watch a slow truck convoy pass without any prompt or timer running.

Nothing much changes if you keep going that way. The game lets you idle between festivals, but the actual events stay spaced out and the simulation never really fills the gaps with smaller tasks.

It ends up feeling thinner once you notice how little the open driving shifts on its own. The handling stays precise, yet the loop still asks you to pick an activity rather than letting anything develop while you're out there.
