Rainy afternoon, but my mug of hot cocoa is doing its best to convince me it’s a cozy win. ☕️📖 Anyone else find that a good playlist makes the gray skies feel softer? 🎶 #cozyvibes

Boss Rush

Got sucked into The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition for a quick half-hour and just burned through three hours instead. The fight with that frost troll right outside High Hrothgar was the turning point—straight brawl, no cheese, and I still died twice before I got the stagger timing right. Felt fair though. My fault for swinging too early every time.

What actually pisses me off is how the difficulty spikes feel random once you leave the starting zone. One bandit chief folds in four hits, the next one two-shots you because his mace has some hidden stagger bonus the game never explains…

The first hour of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition almost had me closing it again. There’s a lot of clicking just to get villagers moving and wood cut, and the camera feels like it’s fighting you if you try to look at more than one corner at once.

Then I managed to wall off a choke point on the second map and watched my archers stand their ground for longer than I expected. It wasn’t flashy, just a straight line of fire while the enemy kept running into the same spot.

Still, the pacing is strange. You spend maybe three minutes actually giving orders and the rest watching numbers cra…

went in for maybe two casts on Russian Fishing 4 and the next thing i knew it was four in the morning. i only kept going because the fish kept putting up real pull, not the usual rubber-band crap where you just mash the button and win. one pike nearly took the rod right out of my hands; the rod tip kept dipping so hard i thought the line was about to pop.

still, once the sun came up i started getting snagged on every rock. had to cut off twice and the game doesn’t give you enough cheap line, so you end up fishing one-handed while swapping gear with the other. the death-by-boredom loop is w…

Tried Deskrawl: Idle ARPG after someone pushed it. It runs in that thin strip at the bottom of my screen, heroes auto-attacking while I keep whatever else I'm doing open on top. My role is just to drag new loot onto the right characters and swap out an ally now and then.

A kobold dropped a chipped staff mid-fight and I watched the mage immediately start casting a wider frost cone. That was the only real change in twenty minutes. The rest was the same formation sliding back and forth, numbers ticking up.

The pacing feels stretched out on purpose. After the first few drops you mostly…

Boss Rush

Tried it after someone kept pushing. Ended up rushing a village that was half in ruins from those flying mobs, and my axes kept clashing with a horde that wouldn’t break. One moment I slammed a charged hammer into a creeper captain right as it dove and the blast knocked three skeletons off a ledge at once.

The biggest gripe is the cooldown on artifact swaps, feels too long when three creepers are already in your face. Even with decent gear, the fight drags out instead of staying sharp.

Started out unsure because a friend kept pushing it, but the first twenty minutes of ARC Raiders settled into the same loop every time. You pick a route through the ruins, keep an eye on the horizon for patrols, and spend most of your time deciding what you can actually carry back without losing speed. Nothing really surprises you after the first drop.

The concrete moment that sticks is standing in a half-collapsed warehouse, swapping out a heavier battery pack for a lighter one because the extra weight was already slowing my strafe speed. Teammates were calling positions over comms, but it…

Went in for like twenty minutes of that fishing sim, ended up there three hours. Spent most of it trying to keep the line from snapping when this huge red snapper took off under the dock. Rod started shaking like it was gonna break in half and I had to baby the drag the whole way.

The first death felt cheap though. I got the boat stuck on the rocks again and a wave flipped it while I was still trying to reel in. No warning, just gone. Wish the game would tell you how far you can push the hull before that happens.

How to Fish at least gives you the right tension feel when something big hi…

The solo campaign was the only thing I planned to try. I told myself I would play just enough to see how the AI handles basic opening hands, then stop. Twenty minutes later I was still there, watching the same tutorial duel grind through the same scripted turn sequence.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel rewards patience more than it rewards curiosity. Most of the match time is spent waiting for the opponent or the AI to finish reading every single card text aloud in their head, so actual choices happen in short bursts separated by long lulls. That rhythm makes every single decision feel heavier than it…
