Grabbed Enshrouded because someone kept insisting it wasn’t just another early access mess. First hour I was already questioning the choice, but the first real fight against a massive corrupted brute made me shut up. He pinned me against a broken wall and I thought it was over, until the timing click on a perfect dodge opened up a backstab window that actually felt earned.
Still, once the adrenaline faded the limits showed. The Shroud pushes you back every few minutes like an invisible timer, so every trip out turns into a sprint to grab what you need before you’re forced to retreat. The sk…

Took a short break and somehow burned through a whole hour in Torchlight: Infinite. The first zone felt fine until the map just kept feeding me the same hallway loop, and I started zoning out on every third pack.
I tried swapping two skills mid-run to see if the pace would pick up, but the cooldowns stayed exactly the same and nothing really changed about how I moved. Gear drops are steady, but sorting them takes longer than the fights themselves once your bags fill.
The combat is clean enough, yet the loop never gives you a reason to slow down or speed up. After twenty minutes the only…

started this expecting another open-world slog but the first expedition actually forced me into nonstop fights right away. got stomped by a scaled knight on a narrow ridge that dropped straight into fog; the camera swing on that drop felt off, like the hitbox stayed bigger than the animation.
upgraded the greatsword twice with the junk i scraped off lizards and the thing still felt sluggish compared to the quicker weapons everyone else runs. the death that finally stuck was fair though, just missed the timing on a double swipe and the ledge finished the job.

Played Castlevania: Belmont's Curse for twenty minutes before the battery gave out and I noticed the pacing was off from the start. The tutorial throws a relic at you, then immediately expects you to string an aerial whip combo into an elemental cast, and the landing feels too heavy for a movement-heavy action game. I kept waiting for the controls to loosen up, but they stayed stiff.
One short drop where a gate only opened after I’d already cleared the room twice was the part that stuck. Everything else just fed more shards into the same upgrade loop without changing how the whip felt.…
Took a short run in Wuthering Waves after work and ended up deep into the desert ruins. Rover still feels solid in a scrap, but the boss in the underground chamber kept spamming a charge that the iframes didn’t always catch. I only died once, yet it still felt cheap because the hitbox clipped my backstep.
I like the way the combat keeps you moving instead of waiting for cooldowns, but the stamina bar runs out way too fast when you’re dodging big hits back to back. If the next area has more of those unreadable tells, I’ll just turn the difficulty down for a bit.
Still, the fight against…
Play videoTried Planet Zoo 2 again last night. The first hour felt like it was asking me to hold three different speed settings at once. Habitat building drags when every path tile has to line up or the guests just stand there.
Once the red pandas were settled, though, I watched one of them sniff at a new bamboo stand for a full minute, then flop onto its back. That single animation kept me tweaking the next enclosure instead of quitting.
The bigger problem is the endless guest management. I spent twenty minutes adjusting benches and signs just to keep the queue from blocking the path to the new a…
