Tried chaining dodges on those bigger creatures last night and it went smooth until I hit one small gap after. Missed the second platform leap by a hair and dropped straight into the pit below.
That one death just sat wrong, like the timing window tightened for no reason. I was already half out of it and didn't feel like retrying the whole run.
Ori and the Will of the Wisps keeps adding layers but the fatigue made the minor slip sting more than any big encounter. Turned it off after that.

I spent most of my time last night in Crusader Kings III sorting out which of my vassals would back a scheme against a rival count. The back-and-forth over who got land in exchange felt precise, like each choice actually shifted the next few years.
After that the pace slowed to a crawl. You mostly nudge council members into minor tasks and wait to see if anything lands, and twenty minutes later the holdings had barely moved.
The part that annoyed me was how little the military side mattered once the scheme was running. It just sits there as an option you check off rather than something t…
The first hour had me ready to bail. Enemies took forever to drop and nothing about the movement felt tight.
Then I hit that ambush in the old facility where three of them cornered me. I burned the last of my stamina dodging the big one’s slam and still got caught on the follow-up because the game didn’t give me the i-frame it showed on screen. That single retry where I finally staggered it before the second hit is the only reason I kept going.
Base claim limits are too strict once you start pushing contested zones with other squads. You run out of room to set up properly and it turns ev…
Tried that dinosaur thing after a friend kept mentioning it and figured I might as well see what the pacing was actually like. Started small on the big map, mostly walking between patches of grass and checking thirst every few minutes while nothing much crossed my path.
At one point I found a half-eaten carcass near some rocks and managed to eat without getting spotted, but then it was back to slow movement across open ground. The whole stretch felt like it stretched out with long gaps between any real decisions.
The growth barely registers after twenty minutes and most encounters just m…
Started thinking one quick hub match would be enough but the ranks pulled me in and next thing the clock showed hours gone. Lost a round when my drive rush got stuffed by a perfect parry into full combo and the health bar melted before I could even tech the throw.
That World Tour spar with the local after the story beat kept forcing the same input string and if you miss the window once it punishes like you cheated the system. Felt cheap instead of hard.
Street Fighter™ 6 still makes the actual exchanges feel raw but the spike between normal and ranked lobbies needs a warning sign.

I picked it up again after setting it down for months and noticed how the terrain actually changes underfoot when you're hauling back a load of thatch.
Most of the first twenty minutes went to inching toward a parasaur with a handful of mejoberries while the taming bar crept up one percent at a time and nothing else moved.
The real limit is how little the game gives you to do once the approach starts, so you end up watching the same slow meter more than you'd like.
In ARK: Survival Ascended the later breeding work probably changes the pace, though the early hours still feel…
Tried running a couple manager challenges late but my head was already half off. One shift in tactics and the whole bracket felt heavier than it should. I kept forcing passes that worked earlier in the week and they just died in the middle of the pitch.
That one defensive read in the 78th minute stuck with me more than the final whistle. My guy lunged, the ball went the wrong side, and the counter ended it. Felt like the game decided the outcome before the animation finished.
EA SPORTS FC™ 26 makes those tired sessions worse because the difficulty doesn't ease off when you're a…
Play videoI spent the first hour in setup screens, sorting contracts and basic tactics, and nearly closed it before anything started. The menus just sit there while you pick through details that don't feel urgent yet.
A match finally pulled me back in when I swapped a midfielder at the half after checking the opposition's passing patterns. That single choice changed how the second half played out, even if the rest of the game stayed quiet around it.
Most sessions end up with long stretches of reading the same reports or waiting for the calendar to move. In Football Manager 26 the actual…
Last night my cavalry broke through on the left flank and rolled up their whole line before the rifts even opened. That part landed clean.
The rest of the night was just waiting on the map while the AI kept spawning junk stacks that ignored every rule I had to follow. One of those wiped my best general on a retreat that should have been safe.
Total War: WARHAMMER III still can't decide if it wants fights to matter or just punish you for blinking at the wrong turn.

The opening hour with Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced had me checking how much time was left before anything felt worth it. Switching characters to line up the next job just repeated the same setup steps without much change.
What pulled me through was one stretch where I switched during a highway chase after a property meeting, trying to keep the timing right so the pursuit didn't reset. That kept me going for about twenty minutes, mostly adjusting routes and watching the distance markers.
Even so the slower parts still feel off. You spend too long crossing the map with nothing happenin…
