The opening hour with Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced had me checking how much time was left before anything felt worth it. Switching characters to line up the next job just repeated the same setup steps without much change.
What pulled me through was one stretch where I switched during a highway chase after a property meeting, trying to keep the timing right so the pursuit didn't reset. That kept me going for about twenty minutes, mostly adjusting routes and watching the distance markers.
Even so the slower parts still feel off. You spend too long crossing the map with nothing happenin…

I sat down meaning to run just a couple rooms in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth and somehow it was already two in the morning. One narrow corridor full of those floating heads kept me pinned against the wall while my tears kept missing the ones behind me.
Every time I cleared a floor I told myself that was it, but the next door just opened and I went through it anyway. My thumbs started cramping halfway through the boss and I still didn’t stop.
Now the room is dark except for the monitor and I can feel how dry my eyes are. Should’ve logged off hours ago.

Play videoA friend nagged me into trying it even though I figured idle stuff like this would just sit there doing nothing. Loaded up [WoG] War of Genesis: Idle Loot anyway and sent my party into another round of fights against those same creatures.
Left the thing running while I stepped away for a bit and came back to fresh loot and a couple levels higher. Felt like the game was moving without me.
Still ends up lonely as hell though, just watching numbers climb with no one else around to trade tips or laugh about the dumb armor drops.

Picked up the game again after letting it sit since launch and the first thing that stood out was how the formation adjustments actually stick between halves instead of resetting like I thought they did. Spent a whole match against some mid-table side just tweaking the midfield press triggers on the fly and watching the AI respond without the usual lag spikes.
The scouting filters still bury anything below a certain rating unless you manually expand every tab, which gets old fast when you're trying to fill out a youth intake on a budget. Ended up missing two decent prospects because th…
I booted up Hearts of Iron IV and spent the first hour just staring at production queues and wondering why nothing felt like it was moving. Nearly closed it twice.
Then my infantry divisions crossed into Belgium and the front lines actually started to tell their own story on the map. Watching those units inch forward while the supply lines stretched behind them pulled me in deeper than I expected.
The national focus tree still lost me though, too many branches that never seemed to connect to what was happening on the ground. In the end it was the slow grind of keeping armies supplied tha…
Grabbed Graveyard Keeper 2 after work and ended up chasing that old town founder lead straight into the crypt. A pack of rats swarmed me while I was hauling the shovel and ingredients back, and I had to time every swing just right to clear them without losing the body.
The whole scrap felt fair for once, no cheap stuns or invisible walls, just straight skill and the right mix of medicine to stay on my feet. I actually wanted to keep going after that.
What killed it was the material limit kicking in right after, couldn't build the next plot without running the same loop three times i…
Went back after dropping it a few weeks ago and saw the objective timing actually lines up better than I first thought. The setup phase matters more than it looks on paper.
One stretch I held the point alone for what felt like the whole middle of the match while the rest of the team moved into place. Abilities take their time coming back so you mostly adjust position and wait for the right window.
Twenty minutes breaks down into long stretches of moving into line and short bursts when something finally connects. It never really speeds up.
Marvel Rivals keeps the same measured rhythm e…
