I went back into Forza Horizon 6 after setting it down and noticed the side roads actually connect up better than the map made it seem. One stretch I spent the first twenty minutes just following a narrow pass through the hills, stopping once to watch a slow truck convoy pass without any prompt or timer running.

Nothing much changes if you keep going that way. The game lets you idle between festivals, but the actual events stay spaced out and the simulation never really fills the gaps with smaller tasks.

It ends up feeling thinner once you notice how little the open driving shifts on its own. The handling stays precise, yet the loop still asks you to pick an activity rather than letting anything develop while you're out there.

Logged in for what was supposed to be one short flight to test the new zones. Chased an enemy Daeva halfway across the expanded territory before they doubled back with two more and caught me with my guard down.

The kill felt off. I had no stamina left from the chase and they just unloaded without giving an opening. Wasn't skill, just bad timing on their part and no counter on mine.

AION 2 keeps the aerial fights sharp but the respawn wait is long enough to make you sit there rethinking the whole session. Ended up grinding another hour anyway.

A friend pushed me to try it anyway, even though the setup sounded like every other extraction loop I've seen. You land and spend the first stretch just walking between spots, grabbing whatever's scattered around and figuring out what combines into something usable.

I ended up crouched by a cluster of crates for what felt like ten minutes, breaking down parts to make a basic trap. A wolf showed up before I finished and I had to back off empty-handed.

Eternal Return keeps that early phase going too long, so the actual fights only happen once the zone starts pushing everyone together. It works if you like the slow build, but it leaves too much time where nothing much changes.
